Exfoliation, Rehydration, and Sugar Paste.

The weather in Saskatoon has been cooling off the last few weeks, and I'm so not ready for winter!  Sugaring treatments can help you keep your skin healthy during those hibernation months.  Sugaring paste not only removes unwanted body hair, it also collects dead skin cells making it a great way to exfoliate.  Exfoliation and Rehydration are especially important in the winter months.  Here's why they work better together.

Most of us are well aware of the benefits of moisturizers, both facial and body.  Did you know it's equally important to exfoliate in order to ensure that the moisturizer can do it's job?  When you moisturize over dead skin cells without exfoliating, your moisturizer is unable to penetrate the skin, meaning you'll go through more product and what you do apply will sit on the skin's surface.  If you want to ensure your moisturizer goes further try exfoliating 2-3 times per week.

Add in monthly sugaring appointments and your skin will thank you!  If you are a regular hair removal client, exfoliation and rehydration is extra important to avoid ingrown hairs.  When the skin is exfoliated between appointments, and then moisturized overtop the fine and thinner hairs growing back won't have any trouble breaking through.

Keep your skin feeling and looking it's best by sugaring, exfoliating and moisturizing all in sequence.  Keep warm everyone!
