Who's feeling ready for fall!? This girl is! (Although it felt a little more like winter in Saskatoon over the last week). I love cozy sweaters, warm lattes, and watching the leaves change colours. I know.. I'm totally basic. Another thing I look forward to in the fall is getting a facial. There's nothing better then curling up under a fuzzy blanket while someone lays warm steam towels over your face, and massages away all your troubles.
Never had a facial? Let me explain why they're amazing. An Esthetician will start with a skin analysis and ask you a few questions about your daily routine, exposure to the sun, if you smoke etc.. and based on that we're able to come up with a custom skin care cocktail. The treatment includes a deep clean, exfoliation, optional extractions, a relaxing neck and face massage as well as a mask. Mix in warm towels, and a heated blanket and you have a recipe to wake up in a dream like state. As if that doesn't sound relaxing enough, your skin will be completely rejuvenated by the end of the treatment.
As the weather changes and we're exposed to different temperatures it's necessary to update our skin care routines (especially in Saskatchewan!). Booking a facial is a great way to give your skin a boost of hydration before we dive in to colder temperatures, or to exfoliate off all that dry skin we neglected while worshipping the sun all summer.
Having an esthetician take a look at your skin at 2-4 a year as the seasons change is a great way to stay on track with your skin care goals. With that being said, it's safe to have a facial done as often as once a month! If you can't afford an in salon treatment, you can give yourself an at home treatment easily with just a few products. Right now I'm loving the Northlore Yarrow & Lavender Cleaning Grains (pictured above), as well as the Helena Lane Argan & Rose Moisturizer (pictured below). Unsure what products to use at home.. or how to use them? Come by for a free 30 minute consultation.
Hope to see you for some pampering soon. Stay warm Saskatoon!
