It's hard to believe that we're already an entire Month into 2017!  I'm honestly not sure where January went.  Now that it's the first day of February, Valentine's Day will soon be here.  As you know this holiday is often associated with red, candy hearts, and of course roses!   What a perfect time to talk about why roses are such a beneficial ingredient in skin care.

Fragrant rose oil is commonly used in aromatherapy to calm and soothe the mind, but roses aren't just beautiful and fragrant, they're also great for your skin.  The petals contain natural oils and sugars that will lock moisture into dry skin cells which makes it an ideal ingredient for the Saskatchewan climate!

Typically roses are used in skin care products to provide moisture for dry/dull or dehydrated skin.  They also contain anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which means rose essential oil can provide calming to eczema, and acne.  Rose contains high amounts of vitamin c, which is a powerful antioxidant that can help protect the skin from damage.

Treat yourself to or someone you love to self care products containing roses this month!
